Ismail Tara died at the age of seventy-three.

Renowned Pakistani actor and comedian Ismail Tara died in Karachi on Thursday.

The legendary lead star, who rose to fame together with his picture role in the Pakistani drama Fifty Fifi, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi, the actor’s family confirmed.

Due to some health complications, he was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi and was placed on a ventilator as his condition worsened. The reason behind his death is claimed to be a renal failure. He’s survived by a widow, four sons and a girl.

The ceremonial occasion prayers of the actor are offered after Friday prayers at Memon Jamia Masjid Phiriwali, Shaheed-e Millat Road.

Tara has acted in many stage plays, tv and around fourteen Lolly wood films. He is a five-time Nagar Award winner for Best Comedian in Haathi Mere Saathi, Akhri Mujra, Munda Bigra Jaye, Chief Sahab and Diwareen.
